Down Memory Lane - with your perfect partner!
It may seem obvious but in this fast-paced world of ours and the almost universally accepted view that we should all have a partner, it’s easy to forget the real benefits of having someone to share your life with. In a recent survey of our Members, we asked “What are the most important reasons for you to find a partner?” Whilst many of the responses were predictable – companionship, financial, sex, children and convenience, there was one that stood out to us and made us think – “The opportunity to create and re-live shared memories together.”
It’s true. Take a moment to think if you can, of the times when you feel truly happy, really alive, excited and living in the present. For many, it seems it’s on those special occasions when maybe snuggled up with a loving partner, basking in the warm glow of a log fire, glass of wine in hand, deeply engrossed in conversation that you wish could last forever, when you share memories of fun - or at least memorable times you spent together! The time when you were skiing together in Chamonix, twisting your knee after a sharp turn and then spent the afternoon being stretchered down the slopes on the back of a snowmobile! Or maybe the time you spent a long, hard day hiking in the English Lake District and ended the day with a cool beer in the Horse and Farrier Pub at the foot of Helvellyn. Or even the New Years Eve bash, where you both were wobbly on your feet, rocking the night away to the sounds of the Stones! Whatever your memories, the opportunity to create them and then share them together forever is a very special gift to be cherished and if asked, one which we intend to help give to everyone seeking a partner.
