New Year - New Start

Apparently, Matrimonial experts have dubbed yesterday D-Day - or Divorce Day - because traditionally the most petitions of the year are filed on the Monday of the first full week in January. Seemingly the strain of being with the ‘wrong’ partner is highlighted over the Christmas and New Year period when couples spend the most time together. Paradoxically, it’s also the busiest time of the year for currently unattached people, to seek a new partner!

One obvious conclusion to be drawn from this is that you have to do whatever you can to ensure that the new partner is the ‘right’ partner!

If we are making such an important, life changing decision, it's vitally important that we should do everything possible to make sure our approach to that decision is the right one. However, most often, we don't! We have been taught that 'when you least expect it, it will happen' and 'if you stop looking, love will come to you'.

If you quit your job tomorrow and just stayed at home waiting for new employer to contact you out of the blue, offering your perfect position, without applying for jobs and sending out your CV, do you think it would happen? If you wanted to buy, a new dream house but didn't go to an estate agents and instead just waited until you stumbled across one, scared that doing so might stop you from finding your perfect home, do you think you would find it?

Yes, the so-called regular approach seems more romantic but as so many people can testify, divorce is certainly not! You need to take a logical and pro-active approach - maybe it's time to let TopMatch work on your behalf to help find your perfect partner!

Happy Dating!
